Flower Power Coffeeshop is located on Rozengracht, near the western edge of Amsterdam Centrum. This part of the city sees a bit less tourist traffic than the main areas of the center, though still provides an ample supply of restaurants, boutique shops, nightclubs, etc.
While most shops in the center are small and somewhat “closed in” due to traditional architecture, Flower Power has a much more modern façade. The front and side of the building are mostly glass. This lets in a tremendous amount of light, and allows the occupants of the shop to relax and watch people walk by.
The décor in Flower Power coffeeshop is fairly basic, but quite nice at the same time. Inside one will find a wooden bar on one side, some wood tables and stools, long counters in front of the windows, and a lot of wood trim. It feels a lot like a neighborhood bar, though of course no alcohol is served here. It is of note that they do have an arcade and pinball machine. Score another one for neighborhood bar, though we are dating ourselves a bit. Today, of course, pinball and arcade games are rare in European cities like Amsterdam, given their size and the premium on space. So if you fancy these classic games, this shop might be a nice find.
The cannabis menu at Flower Power coffeeshop is not extensive, but does provide a nice variety of options. On the weed- side of the menu, they tend to stock a mix of traditional and slightly more contemporary genetics. For hashish, they have a few imports from places like Morocco and Nepal. There is also a standard and “special” section for each, with the latter usually being their higher priced items. They also sell pre-rolled joints and space cakes. This shop reportedly sells cannabis bonbons from time to time as well, which is a nice change of pace. The drink menu lists various coffees, tea, juices, and soft drinks.
This shop is featured in our 368 page Hardcover book CONNOISSEUR GUIDE: AMSTERDAM COFFEESHOPS. A MUST-HAVE for any serious visitor to the Amsterdam scene, it is the first book ever to profile all 168 coffeeshops in the city, with vivid full-color pictures, detailed descriptions, amenities, and locals/regulars recommendations for the "best of" shops in a variety of categories.

Flower Power Coffeesho
Flower Power Coffeeshop feels a lot like a neighborhood bar, though the large front and side windows give it a very open and airy feeling as well. In addition to flower (weed) and hashish products, this shop also serves edibles, and some basic drinks and snacks to keep you comfortable.
