Siberie
About
Siberië Coffeeshop sits canal-side on Brouwersgracht, just to the southwest of Centraal Station. It is also very close to the bustling avenue of Haarlemmerstraat, where you will find many boutiques and restaurants, and a few of the city’s higher-end coffeeshops. Though Siberië sits in close proximity to these busy areas of the city, comparatively speaking, it is on a fairly quiet side street.
The shop interior is best described as modern in appearance. While Siberië may have traditional wooden floors, tables, and chairs, these are complimented by some funky light fixtures, a large curved counter, local artwork, and a touch of neon.
As you walk in, you will also notice that Siberië is divided into two sections. In the front is a seating area and smoking room, which has a few large tables on the right side, opposite a small table for two. A glass door partitions this area from the main room, where you will find the counter and additional table and bench seating.
Siberië has several features that make it stand out. One is the large set of double doors in front. These are opened when the weather is warm, providing an open and airy feeling to the shop, particularly the front seating room. At times, they will have additional tables and chairs outside. On a sunny afternoon, Siberië Coffeeshop can be one of the nicest places to go sit, unwind, and watch the boats go by. It is also one of the more serious “coffee” coffeeshops. By that, we mean they actually serve gourmet coffees and teas.
Siberië coffeeshop has an excellent cannabis menu, which brings us to another notable feature of this shop. It is one of only a few in the city providing lab test reports. Many claim THC percentages, but do not have supporting documentation. Here, you will find a set of laminated reports near the register. They not only show the THC percentage of the given weed or hashish item, but also a full cannabinoid profile. The few exceptions tend to be special menu items, which change with regularity.
The menu itself is also quite extensive, with approximately two dozen selections. The weed strains are generally modern and trendy, while the traditional pressed hashish imports are from places like Morocco, India, Nepal, and Tibet. Pricing is quite reasonable here as well, especially compared to other connoisseur shops in the area.
This shop is featured in our 368 page Hardcover book CONNOISSEUR GUIDE: AMSTERDAM COFFEESHOPS. A MUST-HAVE for any serious visitor to the Amsterdam scene, it is the first book ever to profile all 168 coffeeshops in the city, with vivid full-color pictures, detailed descriptions, amenities, and locals/regulars recommendations for the "best of" shops in a variety of categories.

Siberie
What a place. Probably the friendliest place in Amsterdam (next to Camping Vliegenbos). The budtenders are super helpful and nice and the atmosphere of the place is A+.

Siberie Coffeeshop has a contemporary décor and open welcoming atmosphere. They offer a connoisseur-grade cannabis menu, and serve gourmet coffees and teas. Pricing also tends to be quite reasonable in light of the quality of their selection. This is an exceptional establishment, worthy of a special trip.
