Amnesia Coffeeshop is a trendy establishment in the heart of Amsterdam Centrum’s canal ring. The shop has somewhat of a nightclub feeling to it, with a well detailed and “polished” interior. The cannabis menu is also connoisseur quality here.
The coffeeshop has definitely been partnering with quality breeders. Likewise, they often have a menu with competition-winning selections on it. We recognize this shop as a connoisseur establishment; a distinction well deserved.
Abraxas is a theme coffeeshop. It takes its name from the children’s book “The Little Witch”, and is similarly mystical is its style of décor. The counters, stools, and tables appear as if they were grown out of trees. Feels like Harry Potter, LOTR.
Jonge Roelensteeg 12-14
The name of this shop translates in English as "The Balloon". Het Ballonnetje is one of the oldest coffeeshops in the city, first opening its doors in 1978. So, this is a historic place. It is also one of the more quintessential Dutch establishments.
The Bulldog Palace is a must-see coffeeshop when in Amsterdam. It was built inside Amsterdam's former police station number 14, in the old jail downstairs. Here visitors will find an amazing museum, with many artifacts from the prohibition era.
Founded in 1975, The Bulldog claims the distinction of being the first coffeeshop in the city. At one time Bulldog 90 was an illegal establishment, selling cannabis in violation of Dutch law. There is much tribute to this history throughout the shop.
Oudezijds Voorburgwal 90
Being in Thorbecke Square, Bushdoctor Coffeeshop has access to a great deal of outdoor seating space. On sunny days, they take full advantage of it. They'll place roughly a dozen small tables outside, and enough seating for several times that number.
Prix d'Ami Coffeeshop is arguably more of a weed nightclub than a traditional Dutch cannabis bar. The largest coffeeshop in the city, this shop is spread over three floors, and six rooms. It is also packed with features and amenities.
The cannabis menu in Easy Times Coffeeshop is quite extensive. They tend to list well over a dozen strains on the flower (weed) side, typically a mix of contemporary and old school strains. Though not as extensive, their hash menu is formidable.
The Sprit is an establishment that would be best described as a cross between a traditional dutch coffeeshop, and a retro amusement center. It has a full wall of pinball machines... arcade games... There is no other place like it in Amsterdam!
