De Prijs

in Tobacco

In English, one way to translate De Prijs is “The Price.” The best way for us to sum up De Prijs coffeeshop, is to say that this establishment is a comfortable local hangout, especially if you enjoy getting stoned and playing billiards.

Carmona

in Tobacco

Carmona blends into this neighborhood well, and seems to be popular among locals. This coffeeshop is contemporary, yet unpretentious. The shop's smoking lounge is spruced up with traditional Moroccan themed pillows, and padded leather benches; cozy.

Blue Sea

in Tobacco

Blue Sea is just far enough from the hustle and bustle to be a bit more of a locals’ shop. Inside you'll find a Moroccan / Dutch vibe; very chill and unpretentious. It feels cozy and real, just not quite beachy, as its name might suggest.

Ibiza

in Tobacco

Ibiza is the largest coffeeshop in the immediate neighborhood. The place is ornate in detail, starting with the bright blue painted building facade. Presumably named after the mediterranean island, the theme here is “island smokers' paradise."

Nieuw Amsterdam

in Tobacco

The decor inside Coffeeshop Nieuw Amsterdam is funky; marble tiled floors, purple accent lighting, a mix of glass-tile and painted walls, comfortable plush couches with vibrant abstract printed fabric. This place feels much like an artsy nightclub.

Flashback

in Tobacco

Flashback is a Moroccan-owned shop. They feature a large smoking room in the back, and it isn't rare to find it packed with locals. However, being so accustomed to serving locals, don't be surprised (or offended) if they ask you to smoke elsewhere.

Nice Place

in Tobacco

The name of this shop is very to the point: Coffeeshop Nice Place. This begs the obvious question, is it actually a nice place to visit? We’d have to argue that it is. The interior of this shop is roomy, contemporary, and clearly well appointed.

Massawa

in Tobacco

The owners at Coffeeshop Massawa are Moroccan, though we’d be hard pressed to say there is a strong Moroccan theme. Hardwood floors, polished wood trim, and circular “grand bar” make this place feel much more like an upscale pub or hotel lobby bar.

Cheech and Chong's

in Tobacco

Inside, Cheech and Chong’s coffeeshop feels very much like a small local bar. You know, the type of place that hasn’t got too many frills, but is comfortable, serves your favorite beer, and feels like home when you get to know all the regulars.

Millennium

in Tobacco

Their Moroccan roots shine through here at Coffeeshop Millennium, with beautiful camel paintings on the walls, and themed couches and decor lining the smoking room. They also have a billiards table, undeniably the main attraction of the smoking area.
